Melissa Giamou has a BSc (Hons.) in Biology from the University of Western Ontario and holds a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) designation. As a Clinical Research Specialist in the Clinical Trials Unit, she has managed multiple international, multi-centre, phase II-III randomized clinical trials with various study designs.
Melissa has overseen trials in the therapeutic areas of cardiology, oncology and critical care, as well as a regulated class IV medical device trial. In her role she acts as the main liaison between Sponsor-PIs and study centres, develops and maintains essential study documents, manages study payments and contracts, and coordinates database builds, data collection and safety reporting.
